From Overwhelmed to Over the Moon: Their First Trip to Europe, Planned Start to Finish
The Challenge: Two Busy Professionals, One Big Dream (and a Short Timeline)
When this couple reached out, they were just three months away from their ideal honeymoon dates. They had never been to Europe and had no idea where to start.
What they did know? That they wanted to see as much of Europe as possible in two weeks — and that they needed someone who could help them make it happen.
They had followed my past European travels and trusted that I could guide them.
Step 1: Discovery Call to Define Priorities
We hopped on a call to talk about their must-sees, travel style, and budget. I asked the right questions to figure out:
What kind of pace they wanted (spoiler: full itinerary, no lounging!)
What mattered most (culture, iconic sights, food, and just a touch of romance)
Which destinations aligned with their vibe and logistics
Based on all that, I curated a fast-paced but balanced honeymoon itinerary designed to give them a taste of Europe’s magic.
The Itinerary: Four Countries, One Seamless Trip
Here’s what we built:
5 Days in Barcelona, Spain: Tapas tours, Gaudí landmarks, Gothic Quarter strolls, ocean views, and immersive local culture
3 Days in Florence, Italy: A day trip to the Tuscan wine country, hands-on pasta-making class, and time to soak in Renaissance art
2 Days in Venice, Italy (During Venice Carnival!): Masks, magic, and memories — an iconic festival moment they didn’t even know existed until I suggested it
6 Days in Paris, France: Evening champagne cruise on the Seine, custom perfume-making class, a full day at Disneyland Paris, and a day trip to London by train for bonus adventure
Each stop was carefully chosen for its unique vibe and well-connected travel options.
What Made It Work
Flights, trains, hotels, and tours? Handled. Every piece of the puzzle was booked and confirmed.
Balance of iconic & personal. Big landmarks + thoughtful moments (like a pre-arranged picnic under the Eiffel Tower).
Peace of mind. They never had to wonder what to do next or how to get there.
Why This Was the Perfect "First Taste of Europe"
This honeymoon was ambitious, yes. But for a couple with limited time who wanted a highlight reel of Europe, it was exactly right.
They experienced culture, history, food, and fun across five cities and three countries — with zero planning stress.
They came home with memories, confidence to travel abroad again, and a new appreciation for what a travel advisor makes possible.
