Your wedding planner handles the wedding. I handle all the travel that comes with it.
From room blocks to honeymoons, bachelorette trips to destination venue sourcing — this is the travel logistics side of your wedding, covered by one person who specializes in exactly this.
Why Work With a Wedding Travel Coordinator?
Wedding planning is a lot. And most couples don't realize how much of it is actually travel coordination until they're deep in it, fielding questions from guests about where to stay, trying to figure out the honeymoon, and wondering who's supposed to be handling all of this.
The answer is me. That's literally what I do.
Working with a dedicated travel advisor means you have one person who knows your trip, your guests, and your vision, and who's accountable for making the travel side of your wedding actually come together. Not a customer service line. Not a booking engine. A real person in your corner.
The Face Behind the Coordination
I'm Alex, a travel advisor who specializes in romantic and destination travel for couples. Helping people navigate the travel side of their wedding isn't something I stumbled into — it genuinely matters to me.
I know firsthand how much a trip can shape a relationship. I met my partner while traveling, and the experiences we've had since have only reinforced why this work feels meaningful.
When you work with me, you're not handing things off to a booking engine or a call center. You get one person who's invested in getting it right.
What I Can Help With
Whether you're getting married abroad, hosting guests from out of town, or just trying to figure out where to honeymoon, I can step in as your dedicated travel partner for all of it.
Destination Weddings:
Venue Sourcing & Contract Negotiation
Getting married somewhere that isn't your hometown? Finding a destination that's beautiful and logistically realistic for your guests is harder than it looks.
I'll research and present destination and hotel venue options that fit your vision and your guest count, then work through the contract details so you're protected and not left navigating resort fine print alone.
Bachelorette & Bachelor Party Weekends
A great bachelorette or bachelor trip doesn't just happen. Someone has to find the right destination, coordinate the accommodation, and make sure the group actually lands in the same place at the same time.
I coordinate group travel for wedding parties, from weekend getaways to international trips. You tell me the vibe, I'll handle the logistics.
Group Airport Transfers & Ground Transportation
Getting a group of guests from the airport to the venue, or between locations on a destination wedding weekend, is a logistical puzzle most couples don't think about until it's a problem. I coordinate group transfers so everyone arrives where they're supposed to, when they're supposed to.
Honeymoon Planning
This is usually where it starts. You've spent months planning the wedding, and suddenly you realize the honeymoon still needs a plan. I specialize in romantic travel for couples and I'll help you design a trip that actually feels like a honeymoon, not just a vacation you booked in a rush.
From Bali to the Maldives, South Africa to Italy, I'll handle the research, the bookings, and the details that make the difference.
Hotel Room Blocks for Wedding Guests
Organizing a room block for your guests is one of the most overlooked and time-consuming parts of wedding logistics. I'll source and negotiate the room block on your behalf, whether that's at your wedding venue or nearby hotels at different price points, so your guests have easy, clear options and you're not managing it yourself.
As a Fora-affiliated travel advisor, I have access to partnerships across 8,200+ hotels and travel providers worldwide. That means I can often secure perks your guests wouldn't get booking on their own: room upgrades, complimentary breakfasts, resort credits, and early check-in when it matters.
Destination Engagement Trip Planning
If you're planning to propose somewhere special, or want to celebrate your engagement with a trip before the wedding planning kicks into full gear, I can plan that too. A romantic dinner in Paris, a private villa in Santorini, a safari in South Africa. Let's make the moment memorable.
2025
"I cannot recommend Alex enough for crafting the most unforgettable trip to South Africa, a journey that exceeded all my expectations! From the very beginning, her attention to detail, deep knowledge, and genuine passion for travel shone through. She listened to my dreams and made them a reality including the absolute highlight of my trip: visiting the penguin beach in Cape Town! Every aspect of the trip was seamless; luxurious accommodations, insider access to hidden gems, and a perfectly balanced itinerary that blended adventure, culture, and relaxation. If you're looking for a travel advisor who truly cares, who turns bucket-list dreams into reality, and who crafts journeys filled with wonder, look no further. I can't wait to plan my next adventure with her!"

Frequently Asked Questions

A wedding travel coordinator handles all the travel logistics that fall outside your wedding planner's scope. That includes sourcing and negotiating hotel room blocks for guests, planning your honeymoon, coordinating bachelorette and bachelor trips, arranging group airport transfers, and assisting with destination wedding venue sourcing and contracts. Basically, anything that requires a booking, I handle it.
-
Yes. You don't have to use all of my services. Some couples come to me just for the honeymoon, others just need a room block managed. We can scope it to exactly what you need.
-
I charge planning fees for full-service work, which I'll outline clearly in your proposal. I also earn commission through hotel and travel bookings, which means your room block coordination often comes at no cost to you. We'll talk through all of this before you commit to anything.
-
For destination weddings, the earlier the better, ideally 12 to 18 months out if possible. For honeymoons, room blocks and group transfers, 9 to 12 months is a good target. That said, I've helped couples who came to me much closer to the date, so don't let timing stop you from reaching out.
-
You don't have to use one, but most couples are glad they did. A travel advisor takes the research and logistics off your plate at a time when you're already managing a hundred other things. Through my partnership with Fora Travel, I also have access to perks at 8,200+ hotels worldwide, including room upgrades, resort credits, and complimentary breakfasts, that you typically won't get booking on your own.
-
It depends on your guest count, budget, and the experience you're going for. Some of the most popular destination wedding locations include Italy, Mexico, the Caribbean, Greece, and Portugal for international couples, and spots like Asheville, Charleston, Napa, and coastal New England for domestic celebrations. I help couples narrow down the destination based on what's realistic for their guests and meaningful to them, not just what's trending.
-
A room block is a set of reserved hotel rooms held at a negotiated group rate for your wedding guests. It makes it easy for guests to book accommodation close to your venue, often with a discount, and ensures availability during peak wedding weekends. I handle the sourcing, negotiation, and management of room blocks so you're not doing it yourself.
-
Yes, and it's one of the most underutilized services I offer. Group travel has a lot of moving parts, especially when you're coordinating flights, accommodation, and activities for a group of people with different budgets and schedules. I handle the logistics end to end so the maid of honor isn't stuck being the de facto travel agent for the weekend.
